Apartment Review
Living in Woodstream Village, Becareful where you

The property is great. Location is awesome. But people that are running the property are horrible and unprofessional. Starting from the moment when we walked into the leasing office and got put on hold for 2 months before we were able to move into the apartment. Leasing agent promised mountain and downtown view, plus a balcony on the kitchen and walk in closet in second bedroom. This is exactly what they show you in a model apartment, but reality is completely opposite. When we were ready to move in, we found out that there was no balcony and no walk in closet in second bedroom. Almost every window had a crack in it. Dishwasher had rust and mold inside. Cracks in the ceiling all over the apartment. There was no board under the kitchen sink. The only thing that was done properly was change of carpet and new coat of paint. It took 2.5 months to replace kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom glass in the windows. We had to negotiate a new dishwasher over spraying kitchen countertops. We had to invite outside handyman to install board under the kitchen. Their maintenance crew didn’t want to do that. It took a year for them to add my last name to the buzzer list by the front entrance door. We settled down and lived through spring, summer and fall. Then funny things started to happen during the winter storms. We had snow in every room by the windows. When I talked to manager about the problem, she said “You are such an unhappy person. No matter what I do for you, you are never happy.” We agreed to schedule an appointment with the glass company. The guy showed up for 15 minutes, caulked around the glass in the main bedroom only and left never coming back. Next snow storm, we once again had snow in the corners of windows. I called and asked to negotiate the energy bill, since it was obvious that the windows did not hold warm air in, and let the cold air in. Instead, we received a request for possession. Yes, moving out was a dream come true. We ended up moving 2 weeks earlier then what the lease stated. That may seem like a favor to us, but in the end, once we moved out, we were charged $60 for: Not cleaning the fireplace, not cleaning the Self-Cleaning oven, and leaving shoe prints in the entrance closet. As far as I understand, these three things fall under general wear and tear. The cleaning crew has to clean the fireplace just like the bathrooms. The painters have to apply a fresh coat of paint, including the closets, anyway. The self-cleaning over is, self explanatory. Thank you, our living experience was GRAND.
