Apartment Review for The Works - Denver, CO

The works looks great, but upon move in I realized much of the work was shoddy. the appliances are terrbile (for exampl the dishwasher only cleans lightly soiled dishes on the BOTTOM rack). the workmanship is not well thought out--i can not open the fridge all the way because the bar is in the way. The AC does not work at all. The "free" wireless internet takes 5 minutes to load google.com. I was promised a washer/dryer in unit if I signed an extended lease. The washer/dryer was broken upon move in and was unable to be fixed. To right the situation (all the machines in all the units did not work) they installed one washer and one dryer for a 12 unit building. They dryer has been blowing cold air since the day it was put in. Two weeks later the maintenence guy still hasnt fixed it. The worse thing about all this is the management staff is NOT helpful. For the amount of money I am paying, looking nice is not enough--these apartments ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL.
