Apartment Review for One Belmar Place - Denver, CO

Stay far, far, far, AWAY from Carmel managed apartment properties. The staff are pleasant and professional, but the corporation knows how to squeeze pennies--literally--from you. They double charge you for many expenses: they charge you the electric company connection fee, so does the electric company. They overcharge you for water, trash, and sewer - they make a HUGE profit because of the large base fee. So, if you live by yourself, your base charge is almost 3x more than your usage. The walls are really thin as well, and you can hear when people enter and exit ALL NIGHT LONG. Also, there is so much construction going on that it's difficult to find parking. There is also a leftover pond; the standing water is stagnant and I was concerned about mosquitos/West Nile virus while living there. Thank god I only did a short-term lease. Carmel Properties, LLC are full of cheaters.
