DO NOT MOVE HERE. I'm giving it 1 star because zero is not an option. Denver Mezzo is an absolute ripoff and the management and maintenance is unprofessional, rude, and unreliable. Upon moving in I had no smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector (both required by law), and was missing a door to the bedroom. It took sever emails, calls and letters to get them to do something, and when they did, the work was all very poor quality. The carbon monoxide detector they hung up with only 1 screw, the doors all take a huge amount of effort/slam to get to close properly and the management gives huge attitude when you try to follow up. While I thought it was a great location and price, nicely decorated, it is absolutely not worth it. Despite Colorado Law, which I've presented them documentation of, requiring a 15 foot area where smoking is prohibited from around public areas, they still have an ashtray mounted to the door frame. After 3 months of requesting the doors be fixed to close without requiring me to body slam them, they finally got up the courage to try and shave them down, HOWEVER, the maintenance guy didn't clean up their mess, so when I got out of the shower, I was covered in sawdust and paint shards. I'm sure that with the rent we all pay they can afford a small vaccuum to clean up. extremely unprofessional and the doors still don't quite close right. Also, he said he'd paint the next day, and I said that'd be great so I can be sure and make arrangements for my dog, and guess what... he didn't paint as planned. Thanks. Bottom line is that once you sign the lease, they don't care about you at all and they will be incredibly rude if you make any comments or requests that make them actually work. They don't look at you as a customer, which they should, but you'll feel like a burden. Everyone there just seems like it's their first job and have no idea what they are doing. Whenever I see them giving tours to new potential residents I want to warn them of what a ****hole it is. Stacy, one of the staff, is absolutely the rudest person I have ever met, and every resident I've talked to has agreed with me. She is completely unconcerned with anything you have to say, and will never follow-through. If she hates her job so much or hates working with people, or whatever the issue is that makes her so unpleasant (insert expletive here), she should find another job. The best part is that she's very attractive but once she opens her mouth she becomes the ugliest person I've ever seen due to her lack of personality and character. A majority of the residents are ok, however many of them (And/or their guests) enjoy leaving beer bottles, cans and garbage outside and around the property making it totally dumpy, which amazes me the staff take so long to clean up. Nobody takes care of things. They also decided to implement some totally unfair policy regarding the penthouse (rooftop public area and workout room), so just beware of that, as they claim it isn't promised in the rent, so they can do whatever they want. I'm totally thinking about breaking my lease and advise any perspective new tenant to reconsider, as there are way nicer with way less drama for less. |
