Apartment Review for Devon Square - Denver, CO

To start with the positives, the office staff is really great and there is tons of parking. Unfortunately, those two things don't make up for the laundry list of problems. -pretty much everything is broken when you move in and the maintenance is lacking. not just lacking, the office staff doesn't even bother sending someone to fix problems most of the time. -most of the electrical outlets don't work. it's annoying and it kind of worries me. -the doors all hit each other when opened. the master closet door swings open to hit the bathroom. the second bedroom door swings open to hit the bathroom door as well. really irritating. -the doors don't fit the frames. some of the doors simply won't close, nevermind latch. also, most of the doors aren't hung properly, so they swing open. -the kitchen sink is impossible to wash dishes in. really shallow and the faucet is practically in the sink so it's hard to get dishes underneath the running water. -the noise levels are absolutely ridiculous. anytime a person is walking in a unit above, it sounds like they're going to come through the ceiling. also anytime someone turns on water in a surrounding unit, it sounds like a flood in the walls. -the other day, a set of blinds fell on me when i pulled them open. -there is a pest problem. bugs and mice/rats. really gross to find rat poop on the floor every morning. office staff will give you a sticky trap if you tell them. thanks. -when it rains, the windows don't just leak, they pour. also, if you're on the ground level, water will begin to seep up through the floor. i'm not kidding. -the appliances are a joke. my dishwasher won't open more than a few inches because the oven is in the way. the oven is tilted so if you're cooking with anything liquid, it all runs to the back of the pan. -i don't think they have professionals clean the apartments before new renters move in. i think the maintenance wipes down the counters (maybe) and that's about it. either way, they are pretty gross and dirty when you first move in. over all they are pretty crappy and come to think of it, not even that inexpensive. might as well spend the same amount somewhere else.
