Apartment Review for Briarwood North - Denver, CO

I thought I was over this place when three of my friends' units were broken into and ALL of the dryers were broken due to vandalism and someone stealing all of the money....but it got WAY WORSE I am 24 years old and seven months pregnant and I live with my 74 year old grandmother. My lease with them expires in Novemver so I called the office to find out when I can move out. They told me end of October so to turn in my 30 day notice to vacate by the end of September. After paying my security deposit and setting a move-in date for another apartment complex I was contacted by the Staff at Briarwood tellng me I owed for rent, utilities, and Excel through the end of November regardless of the information that was given to me by their staff! Not paying would result in fees up to $3200, being sent to their lawyers, and having an EVICTION on my record. This place will lie to you and then hold you financially responsible for their errors and inability to rent out their crappy apartments! Hopefully they don't tell you the same thing they told me and my grandmother: "What's in black and white outweighs what's said verbally".
