Apartment Review for 1135 Broadway Residences - Denver, CO

I have been a tenant of Deena’s since 2007. I lived in the Broadway Residences in 2007 – 2008 and I now live in the Elati apartments. Despite other reviews, Deena is a divine person and a great apartment manager. At times, she may seem rather uncharismatic, but with purpose. Deena is responsible for the safety and well-being of her tenants, and with a multitude of personalities, you can assume that her job can be pretty complicated at times. Sure, I will agree that scheduling can be a bit of a conflict because of the management’s hours of operation, but that is simply an area where there is room for improvement. I find it ridiculous to accuse Deena of extortion on any level. Deena makes it vividly clear what your Do’s and Do Not’s are upon signing your lease. If you park your car in an unauthorized area and evidently get your car towed, it’s not Deena’s fault. If you allow your friend to park in someone else’s designated parking spot and they end up getting their car towed, that’s not Deena’s fault either. You get the point. In my opinion, rather than taking responsibility, far too many people would rather point their fingers and put the blame on someone else in the event of an unexpected situation occurring. The reviews posted are completely one-sided, even though there are two sides to every story. After reading through several of people’s comments, not once did anybody mention their contribution to their particular situation. In Deena’s defense, I have personally witnessed people throwing radios off their balcony, pulling the fire alarm at 3am, stealing HDTV’s & furniture out of the Clubhouse (that Deena so kindly provided), etc. There are also individuals who allow their pets to “do their business” in the stairwells and hallways because they are too lazy and irresponsible to make their way outside of the building. All in all, the administration for the Broadway and Elati Residences should be none of your concern. Once you get to know Deena, you’ll realize that she is a genuine individual and truly cares about others. So much so, that annually, Deena extends her offer to celebrate (and feed) Thanksgiving Dinner to those who are less fortunate and/or cannot provide for themselves (or their families). If you are on the fence about moving into the Broadway Residences (or Elati) and are basing your judgment off of other’s reviews, I would take into consideration the type of people that are leaving these reviews. I have never had a complaint from any neighbors, nor have I ever had to complain about any of them. The implemented security measures provide me with peace of mind. These apartments are in a great location and include a great view of the city. I frequently have guests come to visit me with no hassle. Not to mention the amount of compliments that I receive because of the terrific skyline view!!
